My works in show

I am thinking about how we have been oppressed throughout history as humans living in bodies that identify as the female body.

Rest in Peace

Pain

After moving to New York and living in a country of freedom I began to discover myself in this new context. I also gained more awareness about the situation of inequality for women of diffrent races, and religions, cultures even in such a divers city. I becam intrested in making art in response to issues related to the female body and female experiences in socity as second-class citizen.

Later a comparison of women’s rights in Iran with more liberal societies offered a better understanding of changes throughout history. Although there has been a thought-provoking and high cost progression toward equality more effort is needed.

Reality

The reality is, as a woman no matter where you come from or what your background, from ancient tales to contemporary media we continue to face narratives that the only address half of humanity. In these narratives, the power, the control and the wisdom, all rest with men. women have to make a great effort to see those things sa possible for them and everyone will have to change to allow true equality to rise.

Quiet

When women force to be quiet over the centuries, this treatment lead to a lack of self-confidence, anxiety, weakness, and the belief that women are incapable of making decisions for themselves granted the freedom to do so. They need to supported by the male part of the society leaving no room for women to be independent.
